Friday Night in Kibuye, the best place to be on a Friday Night!

We finished our CR Sr Pastor Introduction meeting today. They are eagerly waiting for the publication of the materials in Kinyarwanda (their local language) so that we can have an extensive training to equip them to start CR in their churches, hopefully early next year. This area of Rwanda was the hardest hit during the 1994 genocide and they desperately want a program that can help them find forgiveness. They really seemed to understand how CR can help them by the questions they asked and the hope we could see in their faces. They were so thankful that we came to bring this healing ministry. I think CR is going to make a huge difference to the people of this country.

We've all had some minor health issues but are on the mend. Please continue to pray for our health, just minor colds and stomach stuff.

Tomorrow we travel to Nyungwe Forest, a huge rain forest, for our debriefing and R&R time and maybe a little hiking. Pray for our time of reflection and taking what we've learned here and seeing how to apply it to future trips.

  1. If you were having just a little more success - I would join you! (ha-ha) Wow, What a team! God has blessed you all with such amazing hearts for Rwanda and to be the examples of the healing that so many people need. I am so proud of all of you and all the work you have accomplished. Keep up God's great work and continue to instill the hope that God has provided all of you, into the Rwandan people. I am praying for your R&R to be a wonderful and relaxing "decompression time" for you all and that you will be overwelmed with God's grace and love as you process, and plan. We are all praying that you will keep putting on the "Armor" as this is the time that Satan will try to discourage and invade your hearts. Process well and rest well! You have earned this time - so enjoy! God bless you all in all you do this day, John.

  2. Wow, I feel like our praying time has gone by so fast, so maybe it has seemed that way for all of you too. So glad that the last day went well, and that they asked thoughtful questions that helped you to understand them better.

Still praying for your health, colds & stomach issues. May God bring you total healing while on you're on your R & R in Nyungwe Forest. Well done, team! Remember, there's still more to come -- more for God to use in there, so keep open eyes and hearts for all that God has planned in the coming days. We miss you and have loved the blogs each night so we can pray specifically.

  3. Hi there JDJ! Know you guys are probably ready to hit the beds soon, and hoping that you got some more fresh air and a bit of exercise today.

Praying now for your transportation and good road access during your 5 hour journey up and down those hills back to Kigali, and for God-directed "presence" with Pastor Hesbey in the car.

"Direct my footsteps according to Your work..." Psalm 119:33

I will be awaiting some blogging to hear that you arrived. - Muraho!
