We made it to Nairobi

Thanks so much for your prayers. Our flights and connections have gone smoothly so far. We have just one short flight from Nairobi to Kigali, Rwanda remaining. We are looking forward to being back in Rwanda and seeing friends and what God has in store for us.

Please pray for our last flight to Rwanda, good health (Jana Lopez is getting a sore throat), for a good night's rest tonight, for our meetings tomorrow with the PEACE office, translators and pastors. Pray that we be the muppets for what God wants us to do and say.

  1. This is GREAT NEWS! Your trip is just what God has planned! We are praying for your next connection and safe arrival in Rwanda. It's good to hear that "the muppets" have arrived and that God will use you to His fullest. Make sure to "armor up" on this trip while we follow your journey and continue to lift you all up in prayer for God's will to be done thru the 3 of you and for the preparation of the hearts who will hear the messages that you will all convey. I know you will "hit the ground running" and that it will be "non-stop" until your final day there, but also know that you are the courageous 3-some who will be filled with the Spirit daily and who will shower the love of Jesus Christ on many. Ephesians 6:19 - "Pray also for me that whenever I open my mouth, words will be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel," God bless you all in all you have done this day. 2. We are also praying for Jana L's health and for her throat to be healed and her voice to be strong so that others will get to hear of the healing power of Jesus Christ thru this program of Celebrate Recovery.

  3. So glad that you touched down safely in Nairobi! It can't be easy to just have a stopover there. I know beyond a shadow of doubt that God is going to use all three of you-- Jana, Jana (did I just repeat myself), and Dave -- use you mightily in Rwanda.

We will be praying that God will bless those He puts in your path to encourage, and specifically for the meeting at the PEACE office. I was just reading this in the Message Bible (Ephesians 4:1-3) and then you came to mind:

"here's what I want you to do..I want you to get out there and walk--better yet, run--on the road God called you to travel. I don't want any of you sitting around on your hands. I don't want anyone strolling off, down on some path that goes nowhere. And mark that you will do this with humility and discipline -- not in fits and starts, but steadily, pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love, alert at noticing differences and quick in mending fences."

This just made me laugh in light of the usual pace on our trips. So,...no strolling off!:-)
