Day 1 of CR Seminar

Thanks so much for your prayers. People traveled from as far away as Nairobi (an overnight bus ride) and arrived safely. We had a good turn out. As we waited for the seminar to begin (Kenya time) we prayer walked the campus watching our steps for the cow patties.

One of the great gifts we receive is listening to Kenyan worship. People were open and receptive to CR. They loved hearing our testimonies and realized that we were not so different and saw the possibilities of how this could help people here. The microphone went out and it reminded us to keep our armour on. It was a great opportunity to talk about spiritual warfare. It was a great first day and very encouraging, for us and them :-). We can't wait to see what God is going to do this week. Noah sends his greetings.

Please continue to pray for those attending, that they are open to CR and their personal healing so they make take this to others in their churches and prisons. Pray for us to have continued good health and energy.

PS - thanks for the new comments!

  1. Greetings to Noah!

Verses for you: All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing... For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 6, 9-14

Reading that this morning it just spoke volumes to me about what you are doing. I know you are growing closer to Christ and learning so much of His faithfulness and sufficiency, while you are spreading the gospel and encouraging those who do. Each of you is qualified to do what you are doing, and also to share in His inheritance. I do pray for your endurance, your patience (His words, not mine) and that you will be strengthened in Him. And I can see your smiling faces and the joy that you all show when you are in His will, and doing what you love to do, caring for His children.

Have a great, peaceful, restoring night's rest and have a great day tomorrow!

  5. Grandpa Richard ~ Michael is right here and he says keep talking to Jesus to be safe from the hippos and tigers . He has taken over your pillows at night to see if he can see you in his Africa dreams (the gift from your Dad). We love and miss you honey!

I am feeling so very blessed to be able to be a part of this amazing journey of God's love for His people. I can only imagine the wonderful worship times that you are having and can't wait to hear when you all return home.

Jana you do a wonderful job of keeping us posted on each event and sharing your experiences that God has put in each of your hands, what a gift! I know that you are all being so very blessed as you are blessing so many others.

I'm glad that the first day was so amazing and that more lives were blessed. I can't wait to hear about the upcoming week!

"Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply from the heart." 1 Peter 1:22-23

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

I will continue to pray for the people attending the seminar as well as all of you. Jesus knows that we must come apart and rest a while, or else we may just plain come apart.

"In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength." Isaiah 30:15

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace." Colossians 3:15

May you all seek rest from our Lord and be granted His strength to continue in His wonderful works to bring His people to know Him.

My Love and Prayers are with you all!

    ~Valerie~

  6. So good to hear that the "Mini Summit" is going so well! The praise time is always a high light of any gathering. I would love to sing with the Kenyans!
You are a chosen people, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9
I am so proud to know each of you that you are allowing God to use you to share his good news. My prayers coninue to be with each of you as you present the CR materials and for those that attend, that they will be open and see how CR will bring the healing power of Jesus Christ.
Rest well, stay healthy these last few days of your trip.
