Saturday Night

I had a nice, relaxing day today. I even got in a nap which will really shock those of you that have traveled with me :-). I got to call a lot of people that have attended CR trainings around the country and heard some great stories of how CR is changing lives in Kenya. One small church in Mombasa has CR and is working with the prisons to help 58 former inmates transition to civilian lives using CR. Churches are starting it and people are opening up and finding healing in their lives. Praise God!

Please pray for me tomorrow morning (Saturday evening in CA) as I have been asked to "preach" tomorrow at Deliverance Church Saika, about 45 minutes East of Nairobi. I told then I am not a preacher but I would love to talk about CR so I have the whole sermon time to "talk". Pray that I will be the Muppet and say whatever God wants and someone needs to hear and He is glorified through it. The church is preparing to launch CR later this year.

  1. Jana, what a great item to know - the nap that is!! ;) God knows that you will need to be well rested when the rest of the muppets arrive in less tha a week! What an awesome opportunity for you to be used by God, invited by a pastor, to present CR to people who will embrace God's message. Let the Holy Spirit speak thru you and be prepared to speak with the confidence and comfort that will be yours with the Spirit's guidance. You will do exactly what is needed in your message. We will be praying that the message of "One" is conveyed. One affected heart, One changed life, and The One and Only Higher Power, Jesus Christ! You are an amazing tool that God has gifted with the love of a country that has changed your heart. Rest well my friend and be "the Muppet" for Christ! JB

  2. Jana,

Richard and I are glad that you received the rest needed (the nap)! It is great to hear of the lives being changed through God and the CR Ministry! We will be praying that you continue to bless all those that you come into contact with! We are sure that God will bless you with the presence of His Holy Spirit and guidance at Deliverance Church Saika and that all those present will be blessed with what God has prepared in your heart and to be spoken.

I know that Richard is about ready to explode with excitment as the day for his departure comes closer ~ I'm sure he will explode on the plane, hope John and Joann are ready ~ he can bearly contain his joy! Thank God!

Jana, we will continue to pray for your necessary rest and God's guidance for you as you continue to be used for His glory!

Much Love sad Prayers are with you!

  4. Sounds like a great time of relationship building. Keep nudging them along, and being there for support. You truly are just the right person for the job!

A nap? Oh, come on. Now that you're alone, you take the time for a nap. Well, there must be a good reason you need the extra rest. I know God uses every minute of your time. I'm praying for you now and we'll both pray for you this evening. God has used your "preaching" to reach so many already, you can be confident that God will put just the right words in your mouth and thoughts on your heart this evening. Continue to follow where He is leading. It's all for His glory.

Enjoy a Black Currant for us.

We're praying for the rest of the Muppets, too, and that Richard can contain his joy. Oh, I can see his face now. What a blessing.

  5. I've been thinking about you all week! I'm glad to hear that your travels went well. It's exciting to read about your meetings and the building of relationships.

It's Saturday evening CA time...which is when I finally had time to read the blog....I'm praying for your preacing/talk about CR (that you are probably giving right now). God will give you the right words to say!

Glad you had a chance for a nap! (I'm having a hard time thinking that you actually took a nap) God must be preparing you for something big!

    Praying for you!

  9. Jambo, my rafiki!

Waiting to hear how Sunday at Saika went. How I wish I could have been there to give Violet a big hug and Pastor Owen too. They are the sweetest couple. I really love them!

It's incredible to hear about the growth in Mombasa and great hearing the churches catching the vision to reach out to the formerly disowned in society.

We've got your back (and all the other sides) praying for you and are so glad you're on "muppet time". See you sooner than we think!

    Love,
    Jo
